He debuted in the direction of feature films with the fiction movie “400 Against 1 – The Story of Comando Vermelho” starring Daniel de Oliveira, Fabrício Boliveira and Daniela Escobar (among others), a co-production from Play Arte, Globofilmes and Lereby. Released theaters in 2010, the film was watched by more than 150 thousand across Brazil; having been shown at the LABRFF Festival (Los Angeles, USA 2011) where he received the award for Best Director.
Recently he directed the feature film “Single Almost Crazy” starring Mina Nercessia, Letícia Birkheur and Leandro Lima, a coproduction with MGM Studios. The movie was released in Brazil in March of 2020. His documentary “Alípio” about a former Portuguese father from a Catholic Church talks about the dictatorship in Brazil and it was selected for couple of film festivals this year. His new movie “Until the Night Sleeps” with Milhem Cortaz, Simone Soares and Dandara Albuquerque is in post-production and it will be released in theaters in 2021. Caco is also shooting the feature film “O Faixa Preta – the story of Fernandinho Tererê” with Jonathan Azevedo later this year.
In Television Caco has directed episodes of “Pedro and Bianca”, the documentar “Quando Éramos Príncipes” and the TV series “De Quebrada em Quebrada” . In 2016 he won the award “Professional of the Year” – from Rede Globo TV. In addition, he directed advertising films as a freelancer, conducting campaigns for companies and agencies such as: DETRAN, UNICAMP, USP, UNESP, UNIMED, FIAT, CYRELLA, LOJAS CEM, ODEBRECHT, GOVERNO FEDERAL, TODESCHINI, BASF, PETROBRÁS, among others. He is in the pre-production phase of his next feature film “Filha, Mãe, Avó e Puta” (about Gabriela Leite, founder of the Daspu brand), a production by Kromakey.
